How a Kinship Plan works

Anyone can create a free Kinship account. A Kinship Plan adds the people who do the work, and you add what they need on top.

Why Kinship

Why is looking after someone else harder than looking after yourself?

It shouldn't be. Kinship is built around the person at the centre and the people looking out for them: one plan, a named Kinkeeper who reviews every visit, and as many people as want to help.

How it works

I wanted to look after my mum properly, from wherever I was. I went looking for something that would let me do that, and it didn't exist. So we built it.
We're starting with home visits in Lagos. The idea is bigger: anyone should be able to look after anyone, wherever they are.

Before you begin

Who can the plan be for?

Someone who matters to you, or yourself.

Who sees the updates?

The person receiving support chooses what is shared and with whom. Paying towards a plan does not give automatic access or control.

Can others chip in?

Yes. People who want to help can arrange contributions together as one payment.

Can I chip in from outside the UK?

Yes. Supporters can chip in from anywhere in the world. Prices are shown in pounds.

What is the Founding 100?

The first 100 plans with visits include a free physical health assessment at one of our partner clinics in Lagos for the person at the centre of the plan. 43 places are left.

What if a visit doesn't happen?

If a booked visit doesn't happen, you don't pay for it. We will rebook it with them at a time that suits.

What happens after I continue?

Tell us who the plan is for and where they live. We will confirm support and visit availability before you agree. No payment is taken in this form.
