Kinship Plan: A Kinship Plan is a membership held in one person's name that brings together Kinship Visits, Kinship Well, a named Kinkeeper and Kemi, funded by the people who love them.; The member chooses the shape: visits, health benefits, or both. A free Kinship account stands on its own. Read more
Member: The member is the person a Kinship Plan looks after; the plan is in their name and the choices are theirs.; A member can be a parent, an aunt, a sibling, a friend, or you. Members must be adults and must agree to the plan.
Supporter: A supporter is anyone who chips in money towards someone else's Kinship Plan.; Several supporters can chip in to one plan. Supporters see that the plan is looked after; they do not see the member's health information unless the member shares it. Read more
Kinship Visits: Kinship Visits are in-person visits at home by a qualified nurse, up to three hours each, one, two or four times a month, ending in a plain update for the family.; Visits are practical, personal support: a check-in, company, or being alongside the member at an appointment. Kinship Well: Kinship Well is the health part of a Kinship Plan: health benefits in Nigeria in the member's name, used through a hospital network, with a doctor to talk to.; Two tiers, Well and Well+, with the same benefits (hospital care, medicines, tests). Well+ adds more follow-through on agreed next steps and a same-day human response. Benefits are provided through the Care Partner's arrangement with a licensed provider. Read more
Well+: Well+ is the higher-service tier of Kinship Well: the same health benefits as Well, with more follow-through, a same-day human response and arranged specialist consultations.; The two tiers share the same benefits; the difference is service. Read more
Kinkeeper: A Kinkeeper is the registered nurse named on a Kinship Plan who reviews every visit report before the family sees it and is the person the family knows by name.; The Kinkeeper does not do the visiting; the nursing bench does. She holds the thread across visits, doctors and the family. Read more
Kemi: Kemi is the companion inside the Kinship app that handles check-ins, reminders and coordination for the member and everyone who chips in.; Kemi never diagnoses. Anything that would change a health fact or a care plan goes to the Kinkeeper. Read more
Care Partner: The Care Partner is the Nigerian company that delivers Kinship's care on the ground, to Kinship's standard, and holds the arrangement through which health benefits are provided.; Named in the Kinship Care Partner Schedule. Read more
Chip in: To chip in is to pay any amount, monthly or one-off, towards someone's Kinship Plan.; Any supporter can chip in; the member can chip in to their own plan too.
Kin: Your kin are the people you invite to chip in to a plan: family by blood, marriage or choice.; Everyone in the kin sees the same updates.
