What is a Kinship Visit?
Someone there in person, for the people you love - or for yourself. Here's what a visit looks like, who comes, and what the family sees afterwards.
What happens on a visit?
A trained member of the Kinship care team comes to them in person - up to three hours of flexible support. That might be a check-in at home, companionship and conversation, or being alongside them at an appointment. What they need that day shapes the visit.
Who comes to see them?
A trained, vetted member of the Kinship care team, on the ground through our care partner in Nigeria - today, visits are delivered by qualified nurses. Where their plan has a named Care Manager, it's someone who knows them and their plan, so nobody starts from scratch at the door.
What does the family see afterwards?
Every visit ends with a plain update for the family: what happened, and anything worth knowing. You stay in the picture without having to chase anyone.
How often can visits happen?
You choose the rhythm - one, two or four visits each month, from £60 a month - and you can change your mind before anything launches.
Do visits come with the health side?
They don't have to. Kinship Visits stand on their own, or sit alongside Kinship Well - the health part of a Kinship Plan - in the same plan, with one bill.
Are visits medical care?
No. Visits are practical, personal support. They don't replace medical professionals, emergency services or longer-term care arrangements - and if a visit surfaces something that needs a doctor, the Kinship team helps arrange the right next step.
