What a Kinship Plan costs, and what changes the price

Kinship Well, the health part of a plan, starts at £39 a month; Kinship Visits start at £60 a month for one visit; together they start from £99. A free Kinship account costs nothing and stands on its own.

The three prices

  • Kinship Well: from £39 a month (Well) or £89 a month (Well+). Both include the same health benefits in Nigeria: hospital care, medicines and tests through a hospital network, and a doctor to talk to. Well+ adds more follow-through on agreed next steps, a same-day human response and arranged specialist consultations.
  • Kinship Visits: £60 a month for one visit, £110 for two, £200 for four. Each visit is up to three hours with a qualified nurse, and ends with a plain update for the family.
  • A free account: the app, Kemi and the kin network, with no plan attached.

What changes the price

  • Age. The price of Kinship Well reflects the member's date of birth. The £39 is the starting point; an older member pays more. There is no separate product for older people; the age is built into the price.
  • Visit rhythm. One, two or four a month, and you can change it at any time.
  • Well or Well+. Same benefits, different level of service around them.

Sharing the cost

The plan is in the member's name. Anyone they invite can chip in, in any amount, monthly or one-off, and everyone who chips in sees the same updates. Three siblings sharing a £99 plan pay £33 each. The member can also contribute to their own plan.

What the price does not include

Care outside the health benefits' schedule, which the member receives in full on enrolment, is paid separately, as with any plan. Visits are personal support rather than clinical procedures. There is no joining fee.

Questions people ask

Can I cancel?

Yes. Supporters can stop chipping in at any time. The member's plan does not end automatically; they decide whether to keep it going.

Is the price in pounds or naira?

Supporters pay in pounds. Ask us about options for a member paying towards their own plan in Nigeria.
