A qualified nurse or doctor at your mum or dad's door within two weeks of paying, or your money back. A written report to you after every visit.

Home visits in Lagos from the Kinship team. The same person each time where we can, a report after every visit, and one named person at Kinship you can call. From £50 a month, billed yearly.

Visits are made in the parts of Lagos shown at checkout. Somewhere else in Nigeria? We'll work with you to find the right person near them.

What is in the plan.

The visit is the part you can picture. The report, the Kinkeeper and the WhatsApp line are what let you act on it from abroad.

  • Home visits by a qualified nurse or doctor

One, two or four a month, up to three hours each, on days agreed with your parent. The same person each time where we can.

  • A written report after every visit

Blood pressure, weight, how they seem, what they are eating, what needs watching next time. Checked by your Kinkeeper before it reaches you.

  • Your Kinkeeper, a named person

The named person at Kinship who looks after the plan, reads every report, and whom you and your parent can call.

  • Between visits, WhatsApp

You and your parent can reach Kinship between visits. Kemi, our WhatsApp companion, checks in and sends reminders for medicines and appointments. Anything about health goes to a person; Kemi never diagnoses or prescribes.

  • If something needs a doctor, we tell you and help

Reports show what is moving between visits, like weight or blood pressure. If something looks like it needs a doctor, we tell you and help arrange the next step. Visits are not medical treatment or an emergency service.

  • Founding 100 bonus, worth up to £40

    A free physical health assessment

For your parent at a partner clinic in Lagos, once the plan has settled in, any time in the first year. For the first 100 plans with visits only. 43 of 100 places left.

How the first week goes.

  1. You choose the visits and pay

One, two or four a month. Pay yourself, or invite brothers and sisters to chip in: their share comes off first, and the rest comes from your card on the first payment date, up to six days later.

  2. We call your parent and agree the day

Your Kinkeeper introduces Kinship to them and agrees the first visit for a day that suits them, within two weeks of your payment. Nothing happens at the house until they have said yes. If the first visit has not happened within two weeks, your money comes back.

  3. The visit happens. You get the report

Checked by your Kinkeeper, then to you by WhatsApp or email. From then on, after every visit, every month.

What a report tells you.

The report is what you are paying for as much as the visit. It is written by the person who was there and checked by your Kinkeeper before it reaches you.

  • How they were. Mood, energy, anything they mentioned.
  • Checks. Blood pressure, pulse and weight, compared with the last visit.
  • Medicines. Taken as prescribed, or what was missed and why.
  • Home and food. What was in the kitchen, who has been visiting.
  • To watch. What to check next time, and anything to raise with their doctor.
  • Next visit. The date agreed with them.

Build from there.

Every price is all in. Plans with visits come with their own named Kinkeeper, who reads every visit report and is who you call.

  • If a booked visit doesn't happen, you don't pay for it.
  • Money back in the first month if Kinship is not right for you.

  • Money back in the first month

If Kinship is not right for you, tell us within a month of your first payment and we refund it in full, whatever has been provided. Chip-ins go back to the people who made them.

  • If a booked visit doesn't happen, you don't pay for it.

If we miss a visit or cut it short for reasons on our side, we rearrange it or credit its price against your next payment.

  • Unused visits roll over on a yearly plan

If a visit is moved and cannot fit in that month, it is not lost: on a yearly plan it can be used any time before the end of the year.

The Kinship Plan without visits is £20 a month, or £17 a month billed yearly (£204 a year), anywhere in Nigeria. Monthly plans with visits run for at least three months. If your parent would like their visitor to go with them to an appointment, that visit is £10 extra for the ride there and back.

The questions people ask before they start.

“She won’t want a stranger in the house.”
Nothing happens until they agree. Your Kinkeeper calls them first, introduces Kinship and agrees the day. Where we can it is the same person every time, so after the first visit it is not a stranger.
“She is not in Lagos.”
Our nurses visit in Lagos today. Somewhere else in Nigeria? We'll work with you to find the right person near them, and agree the date with you before you pay. Tell us where they are: it is how we decide where to go next.
“They already have health insurance.”
Good. Keep it. Visits are not insurance and do not replace it. Insurance pays when they are ill; a visit is someone seeing them at home every month and telling you how they are, including what they would not mention on the phone.
“Can my brother and sister share it?”
Yes. You set up the plan and invite them to chip in. Nothing is taken until the first payment date, up to six days later, and whatever they have chipped in comes off first.
“Both my parents live together. One plan or two?”
Two. A plan is for one person, with their own visits and their own report, so each of them is seen properly rather than one being the add-on to the other.
“Is this medical care?”
No. Visits are not treatment, nursing care or an emergency service. If something on a visit looks like it needs a doctor, we tell you and help arrange the next step.
“What if it is not for us?”
Tell us within the first month and the first payment comes back in full. After that, a monthly plan with visits runs for three months and then ends at the end of any month you have paid for. A yearly plan runs to the end of its year.
