Chipping in to a Kinship Plan
These are the terms for Supporters who chip in towards someone's Kinship Plan, from Legacy FS Limited, trading as Kinship, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14762350, registered office 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF). A Supporter is family or a friend of the Plan Member who takes part in their Plan; chipping in is optional. You accept these terms on your chip-in page. They sit alongside the Kinship Terms, which the person who set up the Plan has agreed to.
What a chip-in is. You pay a set amount in whole pounds each month or each year, matching how the Plan is paid, within the minimum and maximum shown on your page. It's taken from your card on or just before each of the Plan's payment dates, and only ever towards the Plan's price: chip-ins together never come to more than the Plan costs. If yours would take the total over, it's reduced to fit, and if the Plan's price later falls below what everyone has pledged, the most recent chip-in is reduced or removed first.
Who's responsible. What you chip in comes off what the person who set up the Plan pays; they stay responsible for the full price. If your chip-in can't be taken, that part falls to them, and we tell you both. If it fails three payments in a row, it stops.
Starting and stopping. Your chip-in starts when you accept it on your page; nothing is taken until the Plan's next payment date. You can stop at any time from your page, effective from the next payment, and nothing is owed. You can also cancel within 14 days of accepting and we refund anything already taken, with no deduction. If the Plan ends, your chip-in stops by itself, and anything taken for time after the end comes back to you.
What chipping in gives you. Being a Supporter, or chipping in, gives you no control over the Plan or the Plan Member's information; what you see is what the Plan Member chooses to share. We handle your information as our Privacy Notice describes.
The legal bits. Sections 8 and 9 of the Kinship Terms (if things go wrong; complaints and the legal bits) apply to you as they apply to the person who set up the Plan. To cancel, use your chip-in page, email support@withkinship.ai, or write to us: "I cancel my chip-in to the Kinship Plan for [name of Plan Member], accepted on [date]", with your name and the date.
