I want a Kinship Plan for myself

You can hold your own Kinship Plan: health benefits in Nigeria in your name, a doctor to talk to, a Kinkeeper, and visits if you ever want them.

You live in Nigeria and want your own health arrangements in order. Or you live in the UK and spend part of the year at home. Or you simply want the people who love you to be able to chip in without it being awkward.

A Kinship Plan is held by the member. There is no reason the member cannot be you.

What Kinship does here

Kinship Well, in your name

Hospital care, medicines and tests through a hospital network in Nigeria, and a doctor to talk to when you need one. Well and Well+ have the same benefits; Well+ adds more follow-through.

A named Kinkeeper

A Kinkeeper is a registered nurse who does not do the visiting: she reviews every visit report before the family sees it, signs it off, and is the person the family knows by name. For a member who is well, she is a name and a number you hope not to need.

Visits, only if you want them

Kinship Visits are optional. Some members add them later, after an operation or a bad patch.

Let people chip in

Invite family or friends to support your plan. They see that it is looked after; they do not see your health information unless you choose to share it.

How it starts

  1. 1

    Set up your account

Get early access in a few minutes. You are the member, so the plan is in your name from the start.

  2. 2

    Choose the shape

Kinship Well on its own is the usual starting point. Add visits if and when they would help.

  3. 3

Pay, or invite others to chip in

Pay monthly yourself, invite supporters, or both.

  4. 4

    Use it

Talk to a doctor through the app, use the hospital network with your benefits, and reach your Kinkeeper when something needs arranging.

What it costs

  • Kinship Well from £39 a month. Well and Well+ include the same health benefits; the price reflects the member's age.
  • Kinship Visits from £60 a month for one visit, with two or four a month available.
  • Both together from £99 a month. A free Kinship account stands on its own.

Full prices and the plan builder are on the Kinship Plan page.

Questions people ask

Do I need someone in the UK to chip in?

No. You can pay for your own plan in full.

I live in the UK. Is this useful to me?

If you spend part of the year in Nigeria, yes: your benefits and your doctor are there when you are. It does not pay for your care in the UK.

Who sees my health information?

You, your Kinkeeper and the doctors treating you. Supporters see that your plan is active, not your health details, unless you choose to share them.

What does it cost?

Kinship Well from £39 a month, priced by age. Visits from £60 a month if you add them.
